Libya, Iran, Saudi Arabia and China, all nations with appalling human rights records, are significant contributors to venerable UK institutions.

Who is funding your university?

Are there strings attached?

Some of the UK's finest universities are taking money from some of the world's worst dictatorships.

In March 2011, the Director of the London School of Economics Sir Howard Davies resigned over the university's links to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. He said the decision to accept the British government's invitation to become an economic envoy to Libya had "muddled" his personal position and his role at the LSE.

Accepting donations from foreign governments and their representatives that oppress their people and restrict liberty and democracy is an extremely bad idea. Donations from such sources always have strings attached.

It's time to demand our universities only accept Clean Cash.

The Clean Cash campaign is a student run initiative with no external funding You can help Clean Cash cover our costs by donating even a small amount.
